The game format for the Flag Football Provincial Championship Tournament is 5-a-side.

REGISTRATION

Application to enter the Flag Football Provincial Championship Tournament must be made on the online entry forms. Football Manitoba members must be registered with an association to participate. Non-members must contact Football Manitoba to determine eligibility.

Deadline: Application forms must be submitted by June 20, 2024. Forms will not be accepted if submitted after the deadline.

Entry Fee: Football Manitoba members will have to pay an entry fee of $500 per team for all age categories. (Includes a Leather Nike Vapour One 2.0 Football)

There will be no refunds issued after June 20, 2024. Any team seeking a refund before June 20, 2024, will be subject to a $100 admin fee.

Coaches and assistants must have a current 2024 FBMB Membership and  the appropriate certificate to coach in the Flag Football Provincial Championship Tournament. The following certificates must have been completed:

AGE DIVISIONS

The Flag Football Provincial Championship Tournament will be played in the following age divisions:

Under 14 Male, Under 14 Female (12-13) – 2011 – 2012

Under 16 Male, Under 16 Female (14-15) – 2009 – 2010

Under 18 Male, Under 18 Female (16-17) – 2007 – 2008

18 Male, 18 Female (17-18) – 2006

 

ELIGIBILITY

  1. The Flag Football Provincial Championship Tournament is open for registration to all members who wish to participate.
  2. All participants must be a member of a member organization and in good standing to be eligible to register in the Flag Football Provincial Championship Tournament. Exceptions may be granted by Football Manitoba providing a request is issued before
    June 20th, 2024.
  3. Players may only play for one team during the tournament.

 

FORMAT

  1. Games will be played following the 2024 Football Canada Flag Rulebook for 5 v 5.
  2. There will be a maximum of eight teams per age division.  Registration is on a First Come First Serve basis.
  3. Roster size: Teams must have a minimum of seven players with a maximum of twelve players per team.
  4. There will only be 2 coaches per team allowed on the sideline during a game
  5. The tournament takes place over three days.
  6. Teams are guaranteed 4 games.

     

NO SHOWS

  1. Any team failing to show up or produce a minimum of seven players to participate will forfeit its entry fee and be disqualified from the tournament.
  2. Managers and coaches of the team failing to be present/produce the minimum playing number may be subject to further disciplinary action.

 

GENERAL

  1. Football Manitoba will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by any team or individual if the tournament is rescheduled or canceled.
  2. Football Manitoba shall decide on all matters about the tournament. The rules created by Football Manitoba are final and subject to no further appeal.
  3. Winners of each division are eligible to receive Football Manitoba’s endorsement to attend Football Canada’s Elite Club National Tournament for Provincial Champions, in Brampton ON, August 22nd-25th, 2024. Football Manitoba will also offer these winning teams a subsidy to assist in their attendance at this national tournament.
  4. Runners-up (2nd to 8th place) of each division are eligible to receive Football Manitoba’s endorsement to attend Football Canada’s Open Club National, in Brampton ON, August 22nd-25th, 2024.
  5. Teams are responsible for having one set of light- and one set of dark-coloured shirts for their team. These shirts must be identical for the entire team. Blue and gold shirts from Football Manitoba’s flag leagues are allowed. Numbers are not required but are allowed.
