All games played at the U of Winnipeg Recplex
350 Spence Street, Winnipeg, MB.
Game times run Saturdays from 1:30pm to 9:30pm
Starting with U10 and progressing through the age groups every hour.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER
Almost half of all players register as individual players. Individual players are assigned to a team selected by the league.
SMALL GROUPS
If you have friends you want to play with you can create a Small Group to link friends together. Everyone in your Small Group will be assigned to the same team. Players joining a group must register by Nov. 25th as the group option will be unavailable after that date or sooner if your age group fills before then.
* Requests to join small groups after this date will not be considered.
PLAYERS WITH A SPECIFIC TEAM
For players joining a specific team that was created by a coach. This option requires you to have the Team Registration Code provided by your coach in order to join the team. Players must be registered by Dec 2 or empty team spots will be filled.
* Requests to be added to a specific team will not be considered after this date.
COACH/TEAM REGISTRATION OPTIONS
HEAD COACH – REGISTERING A TEAM
If you have a roster of players already wanting to play as a team you can register a team and then provide your registration CODE to your players to register and join the team. This also registers you as a coach at the same time.
ADDITIONAL COACH/VOLUNTEER
Co-coaches, assistant coaches and Bench Volunteers can register using the appropriate form.

RULES FOR FLAG FOOTBALL
WINTER AGE DIVISIONS – AGE CRITERIA FOR 2026
Our league consists of the following age divisions based on the participant’s year of birth – not their “current” age. Players must registered in the correct age group according to their birth year or their registration will be removed. Players may request to be age advanced but must be approved by our office.
UNDERSTANDING “Participation Age”
A players age is based on their age as at December 31st of the current year. In other words, a player that is 11 years old, but turning 12 sometime before the end of the year is considered “12” for the entire year.
The age division listed as U12 (or UNDER 12) generally refers to the two ages below. In this case, U12 refers to players that are 10 and 11 years old.

RECREATIONAL DIVISIONS
Intended for new players or those with limited or no flag football experience. Scoring and wins/losses are tracked, but the focus is on learning a new sport, obtaining new skills and having fun.
Perfect for players new to team sports.
COMPETITIVE DIVISIONS
Intended for advanced flag players and teams, having several seasons of flag football experience, and advanced athletic skills and knowledge of the flag football.
Suitable for any athlete already playing at competitive levels in other sports.
