COMPETITIVE    (competitive divisions available in U12-U18)

For experienced players or athletes already comfortable with competitive sport and place more emphasis on winning.  Players have developed football skills and a good understanding of the game and strategies.

*NEW* COED & ALL-FEMALE TEAMS    (recreational divisions available in U12, U14 and U16)

Teams can be either a roster of all-girls or a mixed roster.  Mixed teams should have a minimum of 3 girls and must have at least one girl on the field at all times. (these number may be adjusted based on registrations)

Any players registering as individuals or as part of a small group may be assigned to a COED team or an OPEN rec team.

PARTICIPATION AGES

A player’s “age” is based on their year of birth – not their current age.  Refer to the chart below:

        • U10        Born in 2017-2019
        • U12        Born in 2015-2016
        • U14        Born in 2013-2014
        • U16        Born on 2011-2012
        • U18        Born in 2008-2010 (gr 10-12)

GAME NIGHTS

MONDAYS          U12 DIVISION
TUESDAYS          U14 DIVISIONS
WEDNESDAYS   U16 DIVISION
THURSDAYS      U10 and U18 DIVISIONS

Some divisions are subject to change if registration exceeds the number of fields available on any given night.

GAMES

Each age division is assigned one weeknight for their games.  Each team plays two 1-hour games each night at 6:30 and 7:30.

Games are played at one of several locations around the city and are not restricted to your “home” area.

PRACTICES

Practices are scheduled by each team, usually in the area of the city where they are from.  Teams practice on available green space, fields or parks as flag football does not require a large field.

You should expect a minimum of one practice per week for Blue tier teams.  Gold tier teams being more competitive may practice more than twice per week.
