FLAG FOOTBALL
Play Flag! Get Active! Have Fun!
Flag Football is a non-contact league for boys and girls ages 7 to 17 years providing opportunities to learn new skills, make new friends and stay healthy. Flag Football is also an excellent way to develop skills for tackle football as many of the skills are identical.
All divisions are coed, meaning a mix of boys and girls, with two distinct tiers available:
BLUE (house division) – for new (or newer) players, or those that just want to have fun. Scores are still kept and have game winners and losers.
GOLD (competition division) – for experienced players or athletes already comfortable with competitive sport and place more emphasis on winning. Players have developed football skills and a better understanding of the game and strategies.
Spring Flag seasons run from the end of April to the end of June.

GAMES
Each age division is assigned one weeknight for their games. Each team plays two 1-hour games each night at 6:30 and 7:30.
Games are played at one of several locations around the city and are not restricted to your “home” area.
PRACTICES
Practices are scheduled by each team, usually in the area of the city where they are from. Teams practice on available green space, fields or parks as flag football does not require a large field.
We expect a minimum of one practice per week and no more than 2 practices per week for Blue Tier teams.
Gold tier teams being more competitive may practice more than twice per week.
PARTICIPATION AGES
A player’s age for determining the correct age division is based on their year of birth – not their current age.
The following chart can be used to determine which age group to register for:
